This wonderful little restaurant was a lucky find whilst I was trying to locate somewhere else in the medina.

Located within a space dedicated to female artisans,  this cooperative is a lovely place to have lunch.

The pretty flowers and plants set in a delightful courtyard make it a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere to sit and enjoy some ‘Me Time’.

Although it was the middle of December when I went, the flowers were in full bloom, and I could only imagine how beautiful it would look in the spring.

I ordered a vegetable tagine with a fruit smoothie, and the food was incredibly tasty and delicious.

Friendly cats snoozed in the flower beds, and birds sang from the tops of the trees.

The sun shone brightly, and I was in my element sitting there amongst a sea of pretty colours.

This is a popular restaurant with tourists and locals alike and serves traditional Morroccan cuisine and European food.

It’s a bit of a hidden gem, but I doubt it will be a secret for very long..

It is open daily from 9.30 until 10.00 and you can find it at Amsefah,Rte Sidi Abdelaziz.

The menu is excellent and caters to vegetarians also.

This is a gorgeous restaurant and one that serves great food at low prices.

It is a garden with no indoor seating, so do check the weather forecast for rain before arriving.

I loved my time at Le Jardin Ben Youssef and will make a point of visiting each time I return to Marrakech.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and I felt so relaxed sitting by myself enjoying a rest from sightseeing.
